There everywhere and are hardly ever noticed. Exit signs are required by law and are posted on all of the exits in a building. You simply may use them to direct your customers and employees from the building, but there most important use is in the case of an emergency. During such an event, exit signs are perhaps the most important facet of the entire building. These signs are absolutely critical to guide people out of the building whether during a power outage, fire, or other emergency. They are available in a number of styles. They can be stickers that perhaps glow in the dark, or are a shiny and have reflective surface. Other signs can be illuminated from within. These types are especially useful for office spaces lacking natural lighting or for companies that are operating during night hours. Exit signs are also critical for buildings with multiple stories. For instance, if the buildings power went offline, employees or customers would need to be able to find the proper stairwells that they typically would not use. In addition, should the elevator stop working whether in an emergency or not, people would need to be directed to the proper exit.
