Emergency Lighting: Auxiliary Power Source.
Some companies require a backup or auxiliary power supply. These are used for a host of different reasons. Many of them are used in facilities who cannot afford a power outage. They may be companies that operate sensitive computer equipment, and cannot stand to lose any data or processing capabilities. Another example is a hospital, where sophisticated machines must remain running in order to help the sick and injured. In addition to these needs, some emergency power sources are used to supply energy to emergency lighting.
This might not be the best idea, however, because an auxiliary power supply can be vulnerable in the event of emergency, and if the emergency lighting is powered by this source, you may lose the service of your emergency lights in the event of an emergency. That is why there are many types of emergency lights that are backed up by batteries. These are ideal for buildings that do not have an auxiliary power supply, but are still very useful for those types of buildings that do contain a secondary power source. Many of these types of lights are easy to install and maintain. They may be just what you are looking for to meet your buildings needs.
