For many homes, having a back up power service has become very common these days. Emergency lighting options available are less bulky and easy to install and use. Unlike the generators that were earlier used, these are automatic and mostly battery operated. In fact they come on automatically once the main power in a building shuts down or there is a drop in voltage.
